- 1 lb dried split peas
- 2 1/2 quarts water
- 5 tsp chicken bouillon
- 1 lb carrots, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 10 yellow potatoes, cut into 1″ squares
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
Mix all ingredients except sausage in slow cooker. Cook on high for 4-5 hours, or low for 6-8 (until peas are tender). Add sausage, cook on low for an additional 30 minutes. Remove bay leaves and serve.
